Being Human Now: Life As A Work of Art
In the first weekend retreat, we are introduced to the practices of sitting, movement and guided meditation. Throughout the weekend we will be exploring our inherent human ability to be present, relaxed and alert in the moment. This weekend serves as a fantastic introduction to mindfulness meditation as well as a powerful tool to strengthen an already existing practice.
Combining meditation practice with discussion and lectures, we explore the fundamentally pure and good nature of the human experience. By coming into touch with our most basic nature of kindness, open heartedness, presence and joy we can experience our most naturally occuring positive qualities as human beings.
By engaging in the learning and practice of meditation techniques together, we can find common ground in the art of being human.
Weekend retreat one includes:
- Sitting and movement meditation instruction
- Guided meditations
- Discussions and lectures on Sati/Mindfulness philosophy
- Personal instruction and interviews with Sati instructors
- Support for the creation of a regular and sustainable meditation practice
Weekend retreats are held over the course one evening and one full day.
